Quick story about us. Last week I got invited to make a quote on a couple's house that they were thinking about selling in the spring. I walked in and now looking at this 3000 foot house may be around for five years old. He didn't look too bad no real major problems with it, wasn't really even dirty just looked a little boring. As we were walking around the home I was pointing out to them in various small little things that a potential buyer might notice such as hairline cracks around corners where the beat is coming apart. And some small little bumps in the walls were the nails were start to pop out. But all in all the home looks very well maintained and kept. They start asking about paint colors and generally ideas on the House for selling.

I am not a home stager but I do have a clue on what it should be like and I did tell them to basically remove any excess furniture from the home and just only keep the really nice bright pieces. Their window coverings were awful again I told them to look into getting some fresh looking drapery that is at least not wrinkled up and some tender placing of the curtains possibly with a string in the middle to give it an arch. This will give a very nice look with no costs. Also I told them to remove the powerful daylight energy-saving bulbs with regular type lightbulbs which don't show up like a sore thumb through the glass bubble. I also noticed a dripping kitchen faucet which I told them it should be fixed because that also causes some concern.

Ultimately what happened here was my job got deferred because they started thinking about hiring a home stager and also looking into fixing some of the items which I'd mention to them. They were very thankful of my suggestions, and said they would call me soon as all these things were taking care of.

So as you can see it was worth calling me for an estimate. They learn something and are now acting on its and who knows they might be able to sell the home for more than they thought or at the least had less trouble selling its and quicker.
